Orthoplex White Zinc Picolinate 25g Powder

$28.80

Orthoplex White Zinc Picolinate is an extemporaneous compounding powder formulated without excipients, that provides a form of zinc picolinate that meets high quality and purity standards.

The majority of studies reveal a greater bioavailability of zinc from zinc picolinate than from other zinc compounds. In human physiology, picolinic acid is produced from the metabolism of tryptophan in the exocrine cells of the pancreas, and excreted into the lumen of the intestine.

In the lumen, picolinic acid forms a complex with zinc and it’s proposed this facilitates the passage of zinc through the luminal membrane, across the absorptive cell and through the basolateral membrane of the cell.
