Fe-Max Iron Tonic: Aids in the production and transport of red blood cells

Details:

  • Supports iron levels in the body.

  • Aids in the production and transport of red blood cells for oxygenation of body tissues.

  • Nettle leaf and Ginger root are traditionally used in Western herbal medicine to support general health and wellbeing.

  • Contains iron bisglycinate for reduced gastrointestinal complaints.

Dosage:

Adults: 5 mL with water or juice 3 times daily

Allergen Information:

  • No Added: Gluten, soya bean, milk, lactose, peanut, tree nuts, fish, crustacea, egg, sesame seeds or artificial colours.

  • Vegan friendly.

Excipients:

Apple, ascorbic acid, beetroot, citric acid monohydrate, natural raspberry flavour, glycerol, Grape, Lemon, maltodextrin, Pear, potable water, potassium sorbate, purified water, silicon dioxide, sodium citrate dihydrate, Stevia rebaudiana, thiamine hydrochloride

Warnings:

  • Not for the treatment of iron deficiency conditions.

  • Contains potassium sorbate.

  • Vitamin and mineral supplements should not replace a balanced diet.

  • Contraindicated in haemochromatosis, haemosiderosis or iron-loading anaemias (thalassaemia, sideroblastic anaemia).

  • Due to Licorice: caution is advised in those taking thiazide or loop diuretics and in those with elevated liver enzymes taking immunosuppressives; contraindicated in hypertension and oedema.

  • Caution during pregnancy, long-term use is not recommended.

  • If taking levodopa, levothyroxine, methyldopa, penicillamine, quinolones, tetracyclines, bisphosphonates, and cholestyramine, separate doses by at least two hours.

  • Allopurinol can increase liver storage of iron and should not be used in conjunction with iron supplements.

  • Not recommended in children under 6 years of age.

  • Monitor patients taking thyroxine.

  • Discontinue 7 days prior to general anaesthesia. If patient symptoms persist, seek additional professional advice.
